Valentino Deng and Dave Eggers

The pair were at Yale to discuss Eggers’s newish book, What Is The What, a novelized biography of Deng’s youth. Deng was one of the “lost boys” of Sudan who walked to Ethiopia during the civil war, grew up in a refugee camp, and eventually moved to the United States.
